The packaging alone is gorgeous, all navy and white stripes. And the products are great. A good mixture of strong reds (I particularly like the red nail polish in a shade called Touch of Red) and soft nudes. The range includes some great eyeshadows and pigments, lipsticks, glosses, blushers and a highlighter, so it would have been rude of me not to investigate such a comprehensive collection.
I chose the nail polish and a lipstick (the nude shade Salute!), but slightly regret not going for a red lipstick, as the Red Racer shade was a really flattering red for those with fairer skin, with blue-ish undertones. Not too dissimilar from Ruby Woo, also by Mac, which also works well on blondes.
All in all, I think this is one of Mac's better collections for a while and most certainly worth splashing out a few hard earned pieces of eight on (sorry for the poor pirate humour!).
