Given the rather miserable economic outlook, I've been on the hunt for some luxurious yet affordable beauty products. You know things are bad when the Chancellor is fare dodging on public transport, and luckily, I have discovered the most incredible range of affordable skincare products.

Una Brennan is a London based facialist who has a client list including Sienna Miller and Laura Bailey. She has recently launched her own line of skincare products at Boots, starting at £7.99. Now, I'm a huge fan of facialist beauty lines, from Eve Lom to Emma Hardie, I find that they tend to be very gentle but incredibly effective. However, they do often come with a big price tag (and are often hard to track down).

Superfacialist by Una Brennan is not only affordable, but also fantastic. My favourite thing about the products is the scent; it's amazing. Seriously. Cheaper products often scrimp on scent, as essential oils are expensive. However, the Superfacialist range has got it spot on, using Neroli and Rose to make effective and super indulgent products. The Neroli serum is light, sinks in instantly and smells exquisite, and the Rose moisture mask gives my La Prarie alternative a run for its money (and a lot of money it cost too), and definitely smells better (I slapped it on whilst reclining in a Ren Rose Otto bath, I was in a rose filled heaven!). The Neroli cleanser can double up as an intensive cleanser when used with the facial oil, as a double cleansing whammy. There are three different lines, Tea Tree for deep cleaning, Neroli for firming and Rose for hydration, they are all packed full of ingredients that make skin look fab (like peptides and hyaluronic acid to plump and moisturise).

Next time you are in Boots, you have got to try this stuff, it is absolutely brilliant. I am now desperate to book a facial with the Wonder Woman herself!
