An Amazing Face

I have been trying out a new skin cleanser this week, and am thrilled with the results. Emma Hardie's Amazing Face Moringa Balm and Rosehip Exfoliating Seeds, sounds like a wacky  way to a natural high, but it is actually a fantastic way to get clean, soft and exfoliated skin, without using harsh chemicals. Similar in principle to the cult products, Eve Lom cleansing balm and Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish, this is a balm based product that gently dissolves dirt and makeup from your skin with the help of a muslin cloth. However, unlike those products, this has the added optional addition of exfoliating Rosehip seeds, which you combine with the cleanser to adjust the level of exfoliation you require. Genius!

I love a good old scrub once a week, and this product means that I can do that, but I can also use it every day with less of the seeds mixed in, for a more gentle cleanse (you only need the smallest sprinkling of seeds, as they are very fine and efficient at exfoliating). The muslin is superior to any other I've used, it's more like a flannel in texture, with a softer side and a rougher side for buffing your skin. To be fair, I am unlikely to use this every single day, as there is rarely time in my life at the moment to shower, let alone treat my skin so well, but as a twice weekly treat, this is ideal for me, and perfect if you like to use natural skincare products. The kit also comes with instructions for a DIY facial massage, which I've been practicing and LOVE! It is definitely making my tired, puffy eyes look fresher.

The balm itself smells divine, hints of jasmine, rose and orange, make it feel like a such luxurious treatment, and leave your skin smelling gorgeous, whilst looking plump and glowing. The balm mixes with water, to create a milky texture, so it's easier to blend in than other products in the 'cleansing balm' category. It removes all makeup, including waterproof mascara, and best of all, doesn't leave skin feeling tight or overly oily, so seems perfect for all skin types, although a dream for dryer skins, as it can act as a moisture mask if you leave it to soak in for a few minutes. All in all this is a pretty amazing product, that delivers great results, and is fun to use (who doesn't love mixing things together in the name of beauty?!).

Emma Hardie Professional Cleansing System (contains the balm, seeds and cloth), £42 (although currently on sale for £33.60 if you click the link), available online and in Space Nk stores nationwide.
